What kind of research do you support?
While we believe genetic predispositions and susceptibilities play a role in the development of autism, the National Autism Association feels that environmental interactions play the larger role; therefore, our organization supports research that studies environmental triggers responsible for creating the tipping point in genetically susceptible children, as well as promising treatment options and issues relating to safety.
